Ndèye Coumba Diouf

    Ndèye Coumba DIOUF is a doctoral student in Sociology at the Université Gaston Berger in Saint-Louis, Senegal, where she is a member of the Groupe d’Etudes et de Recherches sur les Migrations & Faits de Société (GERM & Faits de Société). She holds a Master’s degree in development sociology and a professional Master II in local development engineering from the same university. 

    At IPAR, she works as a sociology on migration issues. Her thesis deals with mobility in mining areas, focusing on intra-African migration, the relationship with foreigners, the acquisition of knowledge and know-how, and the evolution and transfer of techniques in artisanal gold mining in the Kédougou region of southeastern Senegal.
